Seachem Cupramine is a buffered active copper solution designed to help manage external parasites in both freshwater and saltwater aquarium environments. This amine-based formulation is engineered to remain active in the water column while offering a lower toxicity profile for fish compared to traditional copper sulfate treatments.

This solution is suitable for addressing common protozoan and fungal concerns on fish surfaces. Its stable formulation allows for precise monitoring with standard copper test kits, ensuring a controlled environment for your aquatic life.

Key Ingredients

  • Amine-based Copper - helps manage external parasites with lower toxicity to fish

How to Use

  1. Remove all invertebrates from the aquarium as they are highly sensitive to copper.
  2. Turn off UV sterilizers, ozone filters, and remove chemical filtration media like carbon.
  3. On day one, add 20 drops (1 mL) per 40 liters (10.5 US gallons) of water. Wait 48 hours, then repeat the dose.
  4. In freshwater aquariums, use a half-strength dose.
  5. Maintain the concentration for 14 days to ensure the full life cycle of the parasite is addressed.
  6. After treatment, remove copper using activated carbon or a copper-specific filter media.
  • Suitable for both freshwater and marine aquarium environments
  • Amine-buffered formula is less toxic to fish than copper salts
  • Will not contaminate the filter bed when used as directed
  • Easily removed from the water with chemical filtration after use
  • Concentrated 50 mL bottle for precise dosing
